Hello,
I'm struggling with very slow upload times over both HTTP and FTP.
With FTP, I'm getting about 80Kbps with HTTP about 100Kbps. Both going to an IIS server with loads of bandwidth.
When doing the a test using the same machine from the DOS FTP command line, i get about 350Kbps.
If I use the telerik upload control (which i'm trying to replace) for HTTP, I get about 310Kbps.
i have tried doubling the buffersize, but it is just slow. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Ralph
Very slow upload speedRe: Very slow upload speedWhich JRE version are you using ?
Re: Very slow upload speedVersion 6 Update 16 (build 1.6.0_16-b01)
i tested it on a MACBOOK and it ran at 280Kbps on my intel i7 development machine it only ran at 78Kbps both machines were on the same network. Re: Very slow upload speedJFileUpload 2.5 + JRE 1.6.0_16/MACOSX = 280 kbps
JFileUpload 2.5 + JRE 1.6.0_16/Windows = 78 kbps Correct ? Do you have any firewall or antivirus enabled on Windows ? Re: Very slow upload speedWindows firewall... default configuration...
no antivirus. also tried with other windows machines which were also slow. FTP with filezilla or DOS is fast, so i doubt it is a firewall issue. |
