Hi,
I am a recent paid customer of jFileUpload. I have a 4.2mb file that I am trying to load. The following error occurs:
Upload started ...Server error HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error
I am running IIS6. Thinking that is was a file size limitation with IIS6, edited the metabase.xml file and increased the size of files that I can upload from 200KB to 5,000,000,000KB (that is 5mb). But the error still occurs. Smaller megabyte files upload just fine. Please advise.
Server error HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server
Re: Server error HTTP/1.1 500 Internal ServerTwo things. One I have found a solution, which follows. Two, I incorrectly copied and pasted my paycheck amount (i.e., 5,000,000,000) and added the KB and called it 5mb. The correct KB size of 5mb is 5120KB. Yikes. Sorry for the bank statement error ;}~
The fix: Since I'm unfortunately using IIS6, the solution is convoluted and wrapped in yuckin MS crap; however, by adding <httpRuntime executiontimeout="54000" maxrequestlength="512000"/> to the web.config file and them moving it to the root of the web application residing under inetpub\wwwroot directory, the problem was resolved. Just thought someone else could benefit from my learning curve. |
