Uploaded binary files are corrupted

Post by mkaganer »

B.H.

Hello!

I'm working on integration of your component in our backoffice system. We want to use it for uploading large files (like video/mp3 etc) using FTP.

Everything works cool, but there's a problem - binary files get corrupted. I use windows based client and linux server, so it looks like the problem is that the files are uploaded in text mode.

But i couldn't find any config parameters that i can set so all files are uploaded in binary mode. Is there any option to do so?

I mean, is there any option to force jfileupload to upload by FTP in binary mode only?

(Just performed another test to figure out the source of the problem - when i upload .sql file already encoded with unix-style line endings it arrives OK, and diff says it's identical to the source)

This is what i get:

Code: Select all

Select or drag and drop file to upload
--------------------------------------------------
> CONNECT kikarhashabat.co.il
< 220 ProFTPD 1.3.1 Server ready.
> PASV
> USER jfu_tmp@kikarhashabat.co.il PASS ******
< 230 User jfu_tmp@kikarhashabat.co.il logged in
Uploading : lo_beivrit_bevakasha.MP4
(5,116,099 bytes)
Upload started ...> TYPE I
< 200 Type set to I
so the mode is set to binary, but the files arrive corrupted anyway.

I've checked the same FTP account upload with filezilla and it's working OK

Please help us ASAP, thanks :)

Try to force transfer type:
<PARAM NAME="param6" VALUE="transfertype">
<PARAM NAME="value6" VALUE="binary">

If it sill fail could you provide a testing FTP account to support(at)jfileupload(dot)com ?

I've tested it from here and it works fine.
How did you notice that files are corrupted? When you downloaded them?
