Timeout - connection reset

Postby sliceofpie » Fri Apr 15, 2011 6:42 pm

I'm getting an "java.net.SocketException: Connection reset" error message when JDiskExplorer is uploading a large file or sits idle for a few minutes.

The error message occurs when uploading takes a while or when JDiskExplorer is not used for a few minutes and then a file is uploaded.

In both scenarios the files are uploaded. The error message appears when the transfer is complete. Then the "Remote host" screen goes blank. When I right-click on the remote host and select "Refresh" the remote files reappear, including the file I've just uploaded.

It almost seems like the connection is not being reset, but JDiskExplorer is timing out.

How can I correct this?

Thank you!

The link you've pointed me to refers to FTP upload.

Will this apply to HTTPS as well?

No, FTP only. Could you provide a testing URL where we could reproduce the problem?
