Hi,

I have two Mac OS users that have recently updated their browsers to Firefox 4 and since then they have been unable to use the JFileUpload applet. The applet loads fine, but when the user tries to drop a file over it, the file just goes back to its place and JFileUpload doesn't register the file drop.

I am afraid that more users will upgrade to Firefox 4 and if all of them will be having this problem, I will get buried in complaint e-mails. So I would really appreciate some help with this

Issue is only under MacOSX? I've tried FF4 under WindowsXP and it works.

It seems to be a general issue for all applets. Drag&Drop support is broken in FF4 on MacOSX.

We are getting reports from our Chrome users as well. Only in this case:

-Drag image to D&D uploader
-When images is dropped, uploader is replaced with full-size image that was dropped and otherwise blank page (no tool/action bars).

It is Mac OS only - our support staff has verified it. (We thought users were dragging outside of D&D pane, but they were not)
Using 'Browse' button functions properly.

It looks like the same problem.

I have another user complaining about the same problem, but he's using Safari 5.1
I'm starting to think that this is either a JFileUpload bug or Java.

It should be fixed in FF. See:

Dropping file does not works in Firefox 5.0.1 on Mac.
