Javascript error in Internet explorer

On this line for Internet explorer in the javascript to launch the applet:
document.writeln('<PARAM NAME="url" VALUE="http://localhost:55908/upload.aspx">');
I get this:

It is not a problem in firefox, etc. The application works. Just want to get rid of the error.
Any ideas? Something in the upload.aspx?
