404 at HTTP Post

Hi there,

I try to upload a small file just to test, but I get a 404:

Code: Select all

Select or drag and drop file to upload
--------------------------------------------------
Uploading : HalloApplet.java
(680 bytes)
Upload started ...Server error HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found
--------------------------------------------------
The URL I use is:

Code: Select all

http://localhost/upload/server/upload.php
When I copy and paste the URL into the browser, the page is found.

Any ideas?

Did you update the 2 url parameters ? In the JavaScript all parameters must be setup twice for full cross browsers support.

Also, try to clean your Java cache:
Start->Control Panel->Java->First tab->Delete temporary fles->Apply.

Hi,

thanks for your answer - yes, I did. To be sure, I had a look in the page source code of the JS-File, and it had the correct parameters.

Update: I just had another try: I also see the POST-Request in the server logs, and when the Applet posts, I get a 404 for exactly the same URL that returns a 200 when requested manually.

Do you have any idea where the problem ist?

Thanks a lot

404 is not found so I can be a problem in the JavaScript that makes 'url' parameter broken.
Do you have any JavaScript error? Or if you could provide me access to your web page then I can check it.

In case that anybody else is running into the same issue: I tested on a domain-driven hosting space again, and it worked. The problem seems to have its cause in the "127.0.0.1"/"localhost"-difference. Maybe the applet's sandbox host-restrictions are making trouble here.
