Are you able to download a JAR file directly from browser on both domains?
There is a configuration difference on server2. Try to access each JAR files one by one from browser. If browser cannot access them then JRE neither.

JFileUpload 3.4 released

JFileUpload 3.4 has been released.

Changes:
- Additional extra parameters support added.
- JRE 1.8_66+ support
- JS3Upload/JS3Explorer improvements (regions)
- JBatchUpload minors fixes

Notice that all applets do not work under Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers.

The bypass option has been removed since Chrome 45:

No, it would require customization, you can configure either FTP or HTTP but not both.
